I'm a 100% disabled veteran. I have a Texas Disabled Veterans lisence plate which I pay $3.00 a year for. The Department of Veterans affairs sends you a letter EVERY year stating you have a !00% disability rating. If you are 100% Service connected and you don't have the above letter, you can go to the nearest V.A. Regional office and they will give you one. You send a copy of it along with a copy of your DD214 to the Texas Department of Transportation along with a check or money order, oh ya you have to send your vhechile registration in to. I would CALL TxDot first to make sure. If you go to TxDot's web site and check you will find out all the info you are seeking. Look under "Speacial Plates"
I doubt you can get disabled plates for schizo-affective disorder, for the same reason you don't get a purple heart for getting PTSD while serving. How did you even manage to join the service with schizo-affective???
