That’s like saying …
That’s like saying New York Yankees games only apply to the city of New York…
X-Games are a national thing. A local skate park having handicapped exhibitions would be local news, but the X-games are a major ESPN/ABC sports event and should be covered just as MLB, NBA, NFL, etc. are covered.
The X-Games are the Super Bowl/World Series of Extreme Sports.
Well, I understand …
Well, I understand for local news (I’ve co-oped and worked at the local paper and this would be *perfect* for it), but not for the AP newswire, which should (ideally…) cover events of broad magnitude.
It’s a story about …
It’s a story about how physically handicapped individuals can participate in extreme sports….it has complete merit to be featured in the news.
I can’t believe …
I can’t believe this is news… I mean, my boyfriend rollerblades and all… but again, WHY IS THIS ON NATIONAL NEWSWIRES?
