Can a disabled person claim for financial help with a decluttering service in the UK?

Monday Jan 19, 2009

I would have assumed that it was like a home help cleaning service, but they seem to charge a lot more. I have a friend with a mental illness who could benefit from this on a regular basis, but dont quite know where to start enquiries.

You need to enquire at the adult social care division of your local authority (county council, if you have one, otherwise unitary authority / metropolitan authority).

local charities and organisations can sometimes offer volunteer asstistance, for example help the aged, (who also help people with disabilities, not just the elderly) can sometimes help.

If you want to check out my website and get in touch I may be able to help with further ideas.
